The concept of low-carbon is deeply in people’s heart, the industry should conscientiously fulfill their daily energy reduction obligations. In fact, low-carbon contains a wide range of areas. We sort out six major industries which should reduce carbon emissions.

The governments

Government agencies are often energy-hungry. Government should first act on saving energy, because government departments have demonstration effect. Energy saving projects should be listed as one of key tasks in government agencies and should extend to other industries.

The energy

Coal, petroleum etc. has been an important carbon-emitting energy, they are non-renewable and limited resources, their usage should be gradually reduced. Countries in the world should develop tidal energy, wind energy, solar energy, nuclear energy and other renewable non-carbon energy sources to reduce carbon emissions.

The transportation

Vehicles in urban traffic account for a large proportion of carbon pollution, some as high as 20%. Most of the urban capacity has been saturated; a lot of cars don’t meet emissions standards. The exhaust from motor vehicle is increasingly becoming the main factor of affecting air quality and to reduce the number of cars is an important way to reduce carbon emissions, so it is necessary to actively develop public transport, rail transport and to encourage the use of new energy vehicles.

The buildings

Building energy consumption accounts for 40-50% of urban energy consumption, many architectural designs seldom consider the problem of energy consumption. Especially large public buildings are energy-hungry. Construction should be encouraged to install solar energy in order to greatly reduce energy consumption and improve environmental standards.

The enterprises

Enterprises are the main body of low-carbon economy. Enterprises should consciously choose "zero emissions" as their goal and reduce their own greenhouse gas emissions in terms of carrying out energy conservation measures and using renewable energy. Meanwhile, enterprises should offset the remaining greenhouse gas emissions by the project of greenhouse gas reduction invested by foreign investment.

The family

The family is the cell of society encouraging and promoting thrift, practice strict economy in their daily lives, reducing energy consumption as much as possible. Start from me, start from each family, from little things around us, the whole society work together, beautiful and healthy environment will always be in our "global village".
