the emission reduction targets of the major countries and regions in the world

EU: Based on 1990 level, emissions reduced by 20% by 2020 if other developed countries have similar commitment on emissions reduction, they will reduce by 30%.

South Africa: 34% reduction in the expected increasing amount of emissions by 2020.

India: Carbon intensity decreased by 20% to 25% compared to 2005 by 2020.

Brazil: On the basis of the BAU emissions reduced by 42% by 2020.

Japan: Based on 1990 level emissions reduced 25% by 2020

Russia: Currently the emissions of the greenhouse gas decreased by 30% compared to 1990.

Australia: Based on 2000 level, the emissions reduced by 25%.

Norway: Based on 1990 level the emissions reduced by 40%by2020.

Canada: Based on 2006 level the emissions reduced by 20% by2020.

China: By2020 carbon dioxide emissions of per unit of GDP have a "significant decline" compared to 2005. By 2020 Carbon dioxide emissions of per unit of GDP decreased by 40% to 45% compared to 2005; By 2020 non-fossil energy accounts for 15% of primary energy consumption; forest area increased by 40 million hectares compared to 2005, starting to reduce carbon emissions in 2050.

United States: Based on2005 the greenhouse gas emissions reduced by17% by 2020. Experts estimated that this goal is only the equivalent on the basis of 1990 decreased by 4%. Reduced by 17%by 2020; reduced by30% by 2025; reduced by 42% by 2030; reduced by 83% by 2050.
