          A busy day

As for many children, summer vacation is the time that they can play happily, do not have to get up early for class, nor go to bed late for homework, do not worry about the blame from teachers, nor the nagging from parents. What a relaxed time! But for little Yang Chao, his summer vacation is nothing but unhappy.
In mornings, when many peer children still stay warm in beds, little Yang Chao has got up early and prepared well the breakfast for grandparents who will then go to work in field or nearby. Then he will clean the dishes and have them washed before going to take care of the younger sister. What follow next are washing clothes, preparing lunch, cutting hogweeds and so on. When the glow of the sun set casts a golden light around the mountains and fields, little Yang Chao, sweating and running back, sets out to prepare hogweeds in the kitchen. "At the ages of over seventy years old, grandparents still go out to work in field, they are very tired, so anything I can do at home I will exert myself," he thinks.
Throughout the whole holiday, little Yang Chao repeats such machinery and monotonous and boring house work. In our eyes, he seems to become the pillar of the whole family for his alternately roles as family man and housewife.

My classmate Yang Chao helps Granny with her housework.
