About why the climate and natural conditions in Cangxi are suitable to the growth of Kiwi, teacher led us to visit a Cangxi kiwi Seedling Base. The staff on Base introduced us the growth of Kiwi on the environmental requirement.

Growing well with its branches thickening, strong evaporation, kiwi relies heavily on the water and temperature. The cold wet weather with the annual rainfall of 800 mm and up 70 % relative humidity is suitable for kiwi planting. Kiwi prefer light, average sunshine time add up to 1300~2600 hours, enjoy the diffused light, avoid strong sun, light intensity is about 40~45%

Cangxi County lies in temperature area; its climate belongs to monsoon of subtropical moist marine climate zone, with rich heat, abundant rain and long frostless period. The annual average temperature is 24-27 ℃, The average January temperature is 6 ℃, The average July temperature is 27 ℃, The temperature differences go up to 3-7℃ between day and night, the sunshine hours is 2659 hours, the average frost-free period is 288 days, the annual natural precipitation is 1100 mm, this climate is suitable for kiwi growth.
