Cangxi is located in the northern of Sichuan Basin, the southern of Qinba Mountain, the middle reaches of Jialing River. The area of county is 2330 Square Kilometers that including 39 townships and a population of 78 thousands. It connects Bazhong in the east, west to Mianyan, Nancong in the south, Guanyuan in the north, known as the strategic gateway of North Sichuan. Cangxi has the history of 1700 years since it was founded county in Taikan of Xijin Dynasty. It has a brilliant culture and outstanding people and a reputation as a “city of simple and kind lifestyle”. |
| In historical records, Qinshanguan was used as the political center of Zhen,Yi,Pu and Guan, however the local people still call this place as Qingshanguan. Because here was the area of Hanchang in ancient time, before 1958, we can also see Tang Qin represented plaque on Kuixing upstairs. According to the old legend, there were yamen, prison, Gujing in Qingshanguan before; there was official Pavilion at 3 miles southwest, there was Qinchaiya at 3 miles southeast, a was carved”Deqiaminxin” here. |
