Geographical location: Huangjiazhai

Huangjiazhai Town is located in Datong County, Qinghai Province. It’s about ten km away in northern direction of the capital-Xining City and named the backward garden of the capital. As its beautiful natural scenery and local specialties, it attracts many tourists to visit.
Four-Tile Dance is a traditional sacrificial dance in Datong County, whose origin can be dated back to Song Dynasty.

In May of 2007, it was recognized as Qinghai intangible cultural heritage.

Ancient painted pottery

In 1973, a precious relic-ancient painted pottery was excavated from Sunjiazhai Town of Datong County. On the inner side of pottery, there painted three groups of dancers, five people in a row, whose hands in hands, dancing and singing. This pottery has become the symbol of Xining culture.
