As its appearance looks like tile and each dancer has two in one hand, thus the dance is named Four Tiles.

Manufacture of Four Tiles

1 the camel bones are boiled in the water to get rid of oil.
2 the bones are cut into slices, 2.5cm wide and 10 cm long.

Change of tool material

It’s not easy to find camel bones now. As a result, bamboo slices and other animal bones are substituted. What’s more, the former tiles are heavier and longer than present ones. During the performance, the tiles are tied on dancers’ fingers.
