Title of Living Buddha

In 1733, a buddhist disciple named Qiejie went to Tibet to worship buddha and was fortunately taught by a master. He studied very hard and got a degree of Gexi. After he went back to his hometown, he preached to other people and formed a powerful sect. In 1769, after his death, the second buddha was found. And the third and the fourth buddha were found respectively in 1805 and 1889. Buddha Jiayang is the fifth buddha. He was born in October 24, 1961. According to the witnesses, the flowers were blooming on that day and there were propitious clouds in the noon. He was recognized in 1994 and got his title which means “a missionary with wisdom and kindness”.

Buddha Jiayang lives in the modern society and his view towards world has modern characteristics. He says to us that Buddhism can improve humanity, while technology can make the country prosper, so we should learn both of them.
