Our group want to develop and inherit folk paper cut art. Our final aim is to make more people to join paper cutting and to stick paper cut on glass at festivals. That is so beaming.

We founnd Mr Lv of art group and told him my opinions. He was so happy that at one he asked all the teachers to give two-week paper cut lessons to students.

The students carefully enjoyed teacher's paper cut and gave compliment. Art teacher said: “if you carefully learn how to cut and practice, you will do better than teachers.” After teaching essentials, he directed students in the process of cutting. And the students showed their works on platform.

Influenced by students' affection on paper cut, we wanted to give then an opportunity to show. We wanted to hold a school wide paper cut competition to push paper cut art into a climax. Headmaster supported us after hearing our opinions. We were more confident.

Paper and us

We have only see paper cut before, but never cut by ourselves. One day, art teacher asks us to bring red paper and scissors. In that class the art teacher tell us the basic manufacturing means, meanings of paper cut and demonstrate for us. I know that, paper cut needs patience. When showing the works on the platform, we all have a sense of achievement. This class promotes us to an advanced level.

Inspiration

I am surprised to see the notice: We will hold paper cut competition in the middle of November to enrich campus life and inherit folk paper cut art.” With elaborated preparation and several-day practice and teacher's explanation, we make out the satisfying work for exhibition.

Our Ideas

Seeing the beautiful paper cut works, we hope this lesson can be settled up in elementary school, and then paper cut can develop better. As a young man, we should spread abroad and develop paper cut on the basis of knowing it.
