Tianquan is a small tranquil county which is surrounded by mountains. People herd their goats on the mountains. Mr. Xu builds a goat farm with tens of goats. However, one day, seven goats were eaten, only some bones and skins were left. Mr. Xu was very sad and wanted to find out the murderer.

Next evening, Mr.Xu did not go to sleep. Just at 7 o’clock, the dog in the farm was barking. Half an hour later, Mr.Xu saw a black shadow which looked like a black bear. When he saw the black and white color, he guessed it might be a panda. When he went further, he saw clearly it was really a panda.

They were in a stalemate for about two hours. Then the panda went away in anger. Mr. Xu relieved much.

The story spreded quickly. Some people were sent by Forestry Bureau to take some photographs of panda.

The panda came earlier the next day and ate goats. When people came, it was still eating. People felt rather funny. After eating, the panda went away in the darkness.

The panda came in the following days. However, when the people from Bureau of Foresty came to take some photographs, the panda did not came. When they went back, the panda appeared again.

It was photographed by Mr.Xu. In more than 20 minutes, the panda showed different postures. After that, it went away. From then on, the panda and Mr.Xu became good friends. He gave the panda a name “Beibei”. The panda also treated here as its home and it came every day. Bureau of Forestry determined to send the panda back in the mountains. They asked Mr.Xu to fire crachers to force the panda to go back.

When the panda came again, Mr. Xu fired the crachers and the sounds frightened the panda which ran away, but after a while, it came back and was not afraid of it. Perhaps the panda really treated here as its home, because it did not leave here no matter what method did people use.

The experts of Bureau of Forestry of Tianquan County and Ya’an City, as well as people from the research and protection center of Bifengxia collected the manure of the panda and proved it is a healthy adult panda.
