In the story of Three Kingdoms, Liubei, Guanyu and Zhangfei became sworn brothers. In Guanting, there is a legend similar to that story. In Qing Dynasty, the Emperor Yongzheng dreamed of meeting Guanyu in the palace, who implied that Yongzheng was the reincarnation of Liubei. From then on, Yongzheng commanded to build temples to oblate Guanyu in every province. The Guanyu Temple in Guanting was built in that period and Three Generals were performed in Nadun.

In the performance of Three General Defeating Lvbu, the main roles are Liubei, Zhangfei, Guanyu and Lvbu, who wear masks and war robes, with weapons in hands. Their dance feet steps are similar to Taiji. The clue is that the three generals fighting with Lvbu.
