Taiwan Hualian Juvenile Growth Center

　　In 1996, Taiwan Hualian Juvenile Growth Center , also called the Grow-up center , was founded, which was subordinate to Baptist church. In 1985, about forty members founded Meilun Baptist church, including clergyman Xiaoping, Ms Cai A-WEI, Tang You-qing, Ba Tai-qing, Chen Shu-zhen, Huang Song-lin’s and etc. They organized children’s activity, arranged their summer and winner vocation and formed children’s choir.

The Grow-up center‘s help to Dacai Middle School:

1 From Sep 2005 to Jun 2007, the Grow-up center donated RMB 27,000 for offering hot water or soup in students’ lunch.

2 in the first half year of 2006, the Grow-up center donated to build students’ dormitories, named “Xin, Wang and Ai”(Xin means confidence; Wang means hope and Ai means love). The total area was 230m2. since then, the students, whose families are far away from school, can live in campus.

3 in the summer of 2006, seventeen teachers in the Grow-up center came to visit Dacai Middle School, where they interacted with local students and trained their computer skills.

4 they offered tuition fee for the poor students Bao Yu-lin and Huang Sheng-zhen.

　　To sum up, the Grow-up center offers a lot of help to Dacai Middle School and development of Western China. We sincerely express our thanks to Taiwan Hualian Juvenile Growth Center.
