Our hometown: Yaojie Town
Located in the northwest of Honggu District, Yaojie Town lies in the northeast of Halagu Mountain of Qilian Mountain. There are more than fourteen ethnic groups living here. The altitude is 1800 – 2400 meters. The annual rainfall and average temperature is 349.6 millimeters and 7.6℃. The climate here is rather comfortable. With long history, Yaojie Town is the relic of the famous Majiayao culture. It is also a famous scenic spot. The mineral resources are rather rich here such as coal and marble. It is famous as the capital of minerals.

Introduction
As one of the representatives of Majiayao culture, the black pottery in Yaojie Town has a long history. It has inherited Majiayao culture for more than 5000 years and combined Majiayao culture and Longshan culture. The black pots here have been sold to Japan and Malaysia. It is just these artists that make a lot of black pots and realize their own dreams.
Early in 1992, after the bringing in of new technology, Mr. Shang Tianming has produced various kinds of pots such as vase and lamp. Different kinds of pictures are painted on these pots. His works are simple and elegant and have won awards at home and abroad for several times. Shang Tianming also becomes famous.

Objective
In order to let more people get a better understanding of Shang Tianming and his black pots, as well as the history of black pottery, we design our web on the topic of “Shang Tianming – seeking after his dream by making black pots”.

Procedures of our work
This activity lasts from the beginning of September to the end of November. Our work are divided into five parts: determining on the topic, making plans on our work, data collecting, data analyzing and designing of the web. The team members are Mr. Chai Defeng and Miao Jianjun, Lu Dawei, Liu Dongliang, Zhang Nan, Bai Ruijuan, Hurui and Lin Yun.

1. determining on the topic, framework and making plans (September 1 to 21)
There are mainly six parts: profile of our work, predestined relationship between Shang Tianming and black pottery, making works of black pottery through lifetime, achievements in black pottery, realizing the dream of black pottery, magnificent prospect.
(1)Profile of our work: relevant information, general plan, key points, allocating of the work. By Chai Defeng, Miao Jianjun, Hu Rui, Lu Dawei, Zhang Nan, Liu Dongliang and Bai Ruijuan.
(2)Predestined relationship between Shang Tianming and black pottery: Black Pottery in the ancient times, Artistic value of Black Pottery, Eternal Treasure, Dream of Shang Tianming, Beautiful Hometown. By Chai Defeng, Miao Jianjun, Lin Yun, Lu Dawei and Zhang Nan.
(3)Making works of black pottery through lifetime: Studying Hard in the Earliest Ten Years, Cub Maker of Black Pottery, starting to make achievements, Great fame at home and abroad. By Liu Dongliang and Bai Ruijuan.
(4)Achievements in Black Pottery: display of works of black pottery, black color of pottery, combination of soberness and great power, characteristics of works of black pottery. By Chai Defeng, Miao Jianjun, Lu Dawei, Hu Rui and Bai Ruijuan.

2.data collecting and data analysis
Our teachers guide us to collect materials on Internet and from relevant books.
Besides, we also hold some interviews with Shang Tianming, Zheng Shengwen and Liu Sanji on September 25 to October 7. The analysis of the materials is made from October 8 to 21.
Some pictures, words and data are also sorted out and processed.

Internet Environment
There is no computer in the home of students. We have to spend our time after class and weekends making our research by using the computers in school.

Our experiences
This is the first time for us to attend the competition, so we feel a little nervous as well as excited. At first, we do not know how to choose a topic. With references to others, we get our own topic. Then we start to collect materials, and take some pictures. Half a month later, we start to make plans of the framework of our web. Some students go to interview and learn a lot from the interviewees. We complete some design in two months. Through this activity we have realized the importance of union and cooperation.
