Prayer
Dance Court
The court is in
the front of Jiujian(nine-room) Hall. It is the place where prayer
dance is performed during the grand Buddhist ceremonies in Ta’er
Monastery. The court was built in 1718 by 20th chief of Ta’er,
covering area of 2,600㎡. The dance is a kind of Buddhist ceremony
that is believed to drive out the devils and misfortune and pray
for happiness.
Dajiwa
Dajiwa used to
be the administration office of Ta’er Monastery. After 1949, it
became the office of Ta’er Monastery Management Committee.
The Gate of Ta’er Monastery
The gate was built
in April 1994 and completed in May 1996. It is combined with Han
and Tibetan style and constructed with bricks and wood. On the
front face of the gate is engraved Brief Introduction of Ta’er
Monastery in Chinese, Tibetan, Mongolian
and English and on both sides of it are engraved repair record
of Ta’er.
Paijia Living Buddha Hall
The hall once
enshrines Genghis khan’s coffin and remains like spear, sword,
bow and daily life items.
