Hall
Maitreya Buddha
Hall lies on the right side of Dajinwa Hall, built in Ming Dynasty
in 1577. Inside stands a Maitreya Buddha statue in which contains
Master Zongkapa’s hair, monk hat and his father’s frontal bone.
The temple is one of the early buildings in Ta’er Lamasery and
was the place where monks sit in meditation and read and recite
sutra. The portrait of God of Music,a Buddhist Protector bestowed
by Dalailama Suonanjiacuo in 1583 is still hung on the right pillar
of the temple. On both sides of Maitreya Buddha statue, the holy
bone ash of hierarch Renqing Zongzhejianzan and Taierse Jiacuo
the first leader of Taer Monastery.
A
tablet made in 1577 is hung on the top of the front wall. The
handwriting of the letter in the tablet is of vigorous style.
Unfortunately, it was destroyed in Cultural Revolution.
Sakyamuni Hall
Sakyamuni Hall,
built in 1604, is 13 meters high and covers the area of 143㎡,
lying on the left side of Dajinwa Hall and being symmetrical with
Maitreya Buddha Hall. Inside the hall are rebuilt statue of Sakyamuni,
Jiaye and Anan’s gold-plating bronze statue and Maitreya Buddha
statue.
Yihu Hall
Yihu Hall was
built in 1594 with the financial aid from Xina Lama Beijuejiancan,
Huanjuerenqin and his nephew, with single-eaves roof. Inside there
is a gold-plating bronze statue of Zongkapa built by Yangjiaxiaqi
and Longrinobujiacuo in 1588. The statue sitting on a meters-high
throne with mandorla is special in style, looking majestic but
kindly and vivid. The mandorla is decorated with pictures telling
Buddhist stories and embossments like sea monster, lions, big
birds and flowers. There are many statues of Heavenly Guardians
to God around the Zongkapa statue, different from each other in
style.
