Origin of the name:

It is thus clear that, the Tianzhou Ancient Tower has
something to do with "Tianzhou Tower" accoran ancient cooking vessel to the historical data. Xixia emperors esteem Buddhism, once built many builan ancient cooking vessels to fix temple and set up towers. So Tianzhou Ancient Tower is built in Xixia. The Tianzhou Ancient Tower has experienced Xixia, Yuan, Ming, Qing, Public, and now, in all 1,197 years. |

In the third year of Qianlong of Qing Dynasty (1739) on November 24 in lunar calendar, Pingluo Countythe region has strong earthquake. Pingluo County county, Baofeng county, and Xinqu county all fall down, except Tianzhou Tower. In the 48th year of Qianlong (1783) June, Monk Weixiu raises money to rebuild.
During Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty,Jinji Fort revokes Qing.The battle fire spreads to Pingluo. Huangzhi Temple is burn.
Rebuild in the 15th year of Guangxu (1889).
Set up a primary school in Huang Zhi Temple in 21th of Republic of China (1932) Huangzhi temple is removed in 1953.
During Cultural Revolution,l facilities inside and outside the tower are sacked by the Red Guard.
The tower base is also dig 2 meter wide to tower bottom. The ancient tower has been tottering.
On June 15, 1975, Tianzhou Tower is regarded as cultural object protect unit in Pingluo County.
In 1980, the county people's government allocates funds RMB 28,000 Yuan. Carried on to maintain to the Tianzhou Tower, with a base of 4 meter height, 45 meter long south to north, 35 meter wide east to west, and carve by stone pack, bound to one meter green brick fence, provided for people to look. The Tianzhou Tower recovered its solemn grand looks.
In 1987, the Xuzao Master passes away.
In 1985 Tianzhou Tower is again regarded as the point cultural object protect unit of Pingluo County.
In 1993, the Master Zhanzhao rate to believe many reconstructions a Daxiong Treasure Palace
In 2002, the Zhanzhao Master presides to maiontain Tianwang Palace.
In September 2007,Zhanzhao Master passes away. Ruguan becomes the master of Tianzhou Tower. |
