Herding Sheep

Almost every week I go over to my good friend Yu's house to help her herd her family's sheep. During the week Yu’s grandpa ties 3 of his sheep in a field so they can eat fresh grass. The field is close to my house so it's easy for me to get too.

One day when we let the sheep go, they went running off into the field and then in a blink of an eye they disappeared. I couldn't see them anymore. It turned out they went running into the river ravine to drink some water. They must have been so thirsty because they wouldn’t leave. To get them to leave we splashed water on them and but they still didn't take any notice of us. Not until we brought their mother to the river then they all left to run up to be with her.

Then all 4 of the sheep went looking for food together. Unfortunately they went looking for food in the thistle bushes. Eventually we had to go into the prickly bushes to get them! It hurt so much. We finally got them to leave and led them back to the farm. It seems the sheep love coming to this field. They seem happy.
